Saint Tropez
Saint Tropez is a beautiful old fishing village in southern France. It has around 6,000 year long inhabitants, which grows to over 80,000 during the summer season. It is ideally positioned on a Peninsula in the Gulf of Saint Tropez, within the Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur region.
The village has six small beaches along its 12km coast line; Bouillabaisse, La Ponche La Fontaine, Graniers, Canebiers La Moutte and Salins.
The world famous Pampellone beaches are actually located within the Ramatuelle Commune.
Well serviced by road, sea, rail and air; 37km from junction 36 of the A8 motorway, and 57km from the A57 at Cannet-des-Maures.
By train, Saint Raphael (39km from Saint Tropez), has both high speed and regional services, including overnight car transporters. International airports are located at Nice (91km) and Toulon-Hyeres (45 mins), with the smaller airport at La Mole (10 mins from Saint Tropez) servicing private charter traffic.
Local ferry shuttles connect Saint Tropez to Frejus, Saint Raphael, Cannes, Nice and Grimaud.

Saint Tropez was the first liberated town of Provence when the Allied forces landed at the nearby beaches on August 15th 1944. A fishing village during the 20th century, Saint Tropez became internationally renowned after Brigitte Bardot starred in a movie filmed there.
