Grimaud had a slow 2009, as per St Tropez, Ste Maxime and Gassin, but is definitely an area to watch. With St Tropez prices at such a high, Grimaud offers extremely good value, with access to several Marina facilities and only a few kilometres from all the Glitz of St Tropez.
Expect to pay 2 million Euros plus for villas in Grimaud with a sea view. Well presented, modernised properties are the first to sell. 1.5 million Euros is the starting point for a decent sized stand-alone villa, over 2m Euros sees the choice of property greatly improve in quality, with some very special villas about to hit the market.
A personal favourite of mine, the area offers fantastic value for your money compared to St Tropez.
Contemporary villas are starting to appear as local planning officials become more amenable to this design trend. Limited supply means prices are higher, but with new building land at a premium, they should see good growth potential in the future.
